Cannot open word document in protected view when Windows Firewall is – Microsoft Community.Protected View Has Stopped Working – Microsoft Community
Ask a new question. I installed the 2 updates. Have tried multiple files from multiple senders. Can successfully open those paid free for download pc games attachments on other machines not yet updated. As usual, MS Word begins the process of opening those files in its Protected View since they are sent via the web. I have uninstalled one of the 2 wofd, KB, but no joy. Have not yet uninstalled KB Any word from other users yet about like problems? The problem is the restricted view that Office places on documents that it detects were downloaded from the Internet.
